Check Metadata operates entirely within your web browser:

  1. File Upload: Files are loaded directly into your browser's memory
  2. Local Processing: All metadata extraction and removal happens on your device
  3. No Network Transfer: Your files never leave your computer
  4. Immediate Deletion: Files are removed from memory when you navigate away

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services for functionality:

  • CDN Libraries: JavaScript libraries loaded from CDNs for metadata processing
  • Font Awesome: Icon fonts loaded from CDN
  • Google Fonts: Web fonts (if used) loaded from Google's CDN

These services may collect standard web analytics data (IP addresses, browser information) as per their own privacy policies. We have no control over this data collection.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal local storage for:

  • Theme Preference: Your light/dark mode preference
  • Debug Mode: Optional debug logging setting

No tracking cookies are set. You can clear your browser's local storage at any time.
